What to do when you would like to sell items at Thompsons

Our team of experts will be happy to speak with you about any item you may wish to sell. Simply bring your items to our auction house at any time during our specified opening hours on Sat, Mon or Tue. You do not need an appointment and will be seen by one of our experienced team, our friendly, helpful staff will be happy to provide any information or advice you need.

Alternatively, if you don’t have time to come and see us in person, or have a larger item or entire house contents, then we can visit you at home to carry out a valuation, or you can email or send us a photograph of your item.

Of course as a seller you may need some help getting your items to auction, so we offer a helpful and personal service and can arrange collection from your home.

Achieving the Best Market Price
Our weekly sales, which attract both UK and international buyers, will ensure we can process your items quickly and achieve the best market price. As an established and leading UK auction house, we offer very competitive terms, prompt payment and the highest level of service.

Thompson’s are available to accept and appraise goods during the following times:
Sat 12noon – 4.00 pm
Mon 9.00am – 5.00pm
Tue 9.00am – 5.00pm (please ring first)
Appraisals can be single items through to full house clearances.

Un-Sold, Lots must be collected before 5pm on Sale days,
9.30 – 4pm Saturday or 9 – 5 Monday.
Lots not collected by 5pm on Monday’s following the Sale incur a storage fee of £5 per lot per day.
